Full remodelling and refurbishment of basement music venue and club in Peckham.

Located in the centre of Peckham, Peckham Audio is the south London's newest live music venue. Working within a very tight site with extremely low ceilings, the client’s brief dictated that the space needed to be unlike any other London music venue and feel more spacious than it actually was. The solution was to create light-filled walls made with LED strips and perforated mild steel sheeting. The finished effect allows for a play of light on the existing rough concrete basement walls creating an ethereal mood and unique atmosphere. To deal with the challenging access to the restrictive basement, the design championed prefabrication – all walls were designed in modular sections so on-site modifications were kept to a minimum.
